American Civil War red silk uniform waist sash in a stretchy knit with tassels displaying lattice-pleated heads over long, twisted skirts.
Verbal provenance: Previously belonging to George Bryant Woods (1844-1871) from Barre, MA. He served in the 8th Massachusetts Battery as a journalist during the war.
Condition: With expected wear commensurate with age. Fading, discoloration, thread wear, and ripping as seen in pictures.
