Civil War era surgical set with bone handles, and brass and steel fleam in original leather cases. Surgical set by H.R. Sherwood, featuring a suture set with straight and curved needles, six surgical instruments with steel blades and bone handles and also an assortment of various other instruments. Presented in original two tiered red leather with gilt trim case with a double hasp closure. Also includes a brass and steel fleam featuring engraved brass casing with possible monogram verso. Having a sharp steel blade with depth guide. Presented in original leather case with hasp closure.
