Boxed set of circa 1890 sterling and mother-of-pearl fruit knives. The petite knives with ornate sterling collars and sharp blades marked 'Maier & Berkele Atlanta, Ga.'.; each with luminous mother of pearl handles. Presented in a frayed green silk box with a velvet liner and brass clasp. Tag affixed to verso marked $140.
Condition: Box with considerable fraying, clasp does not close completely, knives with light tarnish and wear; all of which add to the overall old world character of this set.
