Pair of Chinese famille rose porcelain converted vase lamps with vibrant decorations on bright white bodies. The taller features a baluster form, with scenes of various birds including roosters displaying in hues of green, blue, and purple-pink. The scenes are outlined with red borders, surrounded by richly gilt fields dotted with flowers. The shorter lamp comes in a striking cobalt blue finish, displaying green peacocks and roosters around flowering trees. Includes a pleated cream empire shade with a pierced brass finial, and a white cut-corner rectangular shade.
Condition: Displays well with light surface scratches, minor finish wear, and light discoloration. Both lamp bases have a slight wobble. Small spots of discoloration to the shades; the pleated shade has tears to the interior that does not significantly detract from outward appearance. The wiring has not been tested.
