About the Artist:
Charles Baskerville Jr. was an American artist known for portrait and mural paintings. He studied at Cornell University before serving in World War I, where his sketched of the period were published in Scribner's Magazine. After graduating from Cornell, he wrote a nightclub column for The New Yorker and worked as a portrait painter. During World War II he served as a lieutenant colonel in the Air Force, of which he was the official portrait painter.
Condition
Some chipping to the frame most notably along the top, but the art presents well overall.
