Caroline H. Newhouse (American, 1910-2003) charcoal on paper study of a female form in gestural, wide sketched marks. The figure shifts her weight to one leg, with arms appearing to be crossed. The charcoal is beautifully textured across a warm tan paper. Signed lower right. Displayed behind glass with a wide canvas border in a beveled black frame.
Condition: Displays well with light paper waving. Minor discoloration and finish wear to frame, with a small spot of canvas wear to the border at the upper right.
