Artist, C. Myron Clark (American 1858 – 1925) was an artist from Massachusetts whom primarily painted landscapes of the mountains, is also known known for his paintings depicting ships and seascapes.
A large collection of the artist's works are held at the Peabody Museum in Massachusetts with others being held in private collections.
The artist appears to have painted a majestic steamship steaming out of New York Harbor with the recently made Brooklyn Bridge, which had been made approximately the year before the painting was painted.
Signed 'Myron Clark' and dated '1884' to the lower right corner.
Presented in a carved and gilt finished wood frame.

Condition: There is some craquelure to the oil paint and some wear and losses to the gilt finished wood frame but overall a lovely painting of the New York harbor.
