A most impressive pool table made by Brunswick, Balke & Collender "The Starburst Union League" Ca. 1880-1900. This 4' x 8' table was completely restored by Blatt's Billiard before being installed into this impeccable Darien home, it's simply stunning. The table was delivered in 1999 and looks like it came out of the showroom this year. It cost $18,000.
Made of beautifully figured solid mahogany with inset decoration, featuring eight carved corner sunburst panels with awesome bold tapering legs adorned with diamond and fluted carved decoration. Most versions of this table were made in oak, with diamond pattern sides. This table with beautiful mahogany and sunburst pattern is by far much more desirable.
Along with the table comes the balls, cues and cue rack in addition to an amazing arts and crafts style glass billiard fixture show in the main photo.
Total size: 5ft wide x 9.2 ft long x 33" high
Although the wood on the table is amazing, the playing surface felt is not perfect with light to moderate wear. It should be replaced upon install sine it's an easy fix and has to be removed for transport anyway.
