Item Description
Bernard Neuville (French, 1852-1941) oil on canvas painting depicting an interior scene with wood flooring, green drapery behind and a basket with red cloth where two of the four kittens can be seen. Aside the basket one kitten can be seen seated, while the second can be seen lying recumbent. All four kittens are depicted as being completely focused on the spool of yarn which can be seen starting to unravel in the immediate foreground. A dish lies next to the yarn with other yarn to right of the unraveling ball of yarn.
Signed lower left.
Presented with a fabulously decorative carved and gilt finished frame.
