An excellent assortment of Japanese eggshell ceramic teaware. Includes:
-Two matching double-handled bowls with thousand face motifs, marked on the undersides with a black fan logo.
-A small plate or bowl with gilt thousand face motifs, marked on the underside with a black fan logo.
-Two matching saucers with thousand face motifs, decorated with dragons on the interiors.
-Three matching teacups and three saucers with thousand face motifs, marked on the undersides with red script.
-A matching teacup and saucer with ornate moth motifs, marked in gilt over red medallions on the undersides.
-A matching teacup and saucer with ornate moth motifs, marked in red script on the undersides.
-A creamer pitcher with ornate moth motifs, marked in red script on the underside.
-A saucer decorated with a scene of women outside of a house, enjoying a natural scene of flowering trees and winding rivers. Marked in red script on the underside.
Dimensions:
Creamer- 4" H x 4" diameter
Moth motif saucer- 5 1/2" diameter
Thousand face motif double-handle bowl- 2" H x 3 3/4" diameter
Displays well with minor finish wear, light discoloration. The moth motif saucer with red script on the underside has a faint hairline. The creamer has a minor chip to the underside of the foot that does not affect the outward appearance. One of the thousand face motif teacups has a surface chip to the foot, while another has two tiny surface chips to the foot.
