Arthur G. Hahn (American, 1919-1989) "The New Threshold" watercolor on board depicting a white shingled side of a house exterior, with a lace curtain seen in the window next to a cream door with a paneled storm door. A sawhorse stands nearby, alongside a large toolbox and two planks of wood propped up against the side of the house. Signed in red lower left. Displayed behind glass with beige and cream mats in a rustic wood frame with nails visible, complimenting the subject matter.
Handwritten in ink on the paper lining: "Prize winner $250; "The New Threshold" Art Hahn; Portland, ME. The frame (wood) came from Katie's Icehouse in Maultonboro N.H." A small sketch in ink of a figure holding a top hat can be seen on the board under a rip in the paper lining.
Condition: Displays well with the frame in sturdy, rustic condition.
