Item Description
A magnificent antique armoire in honeyed brown oak, showcasing an eye-catching, dramatically curved bonnet with a stunning carved scene of two doves under a wreath of roses atop crossed quivers. The scene is complemented by carved floral sprays at the height of double doors with beveled paneling and foliate carving, adorned with brass key escutcheons. The double doors open to a shelved interior with bowfront curves.
The lower case features two small drawers with loop handles over a double door cabinet with a single shelf within, supported by a nicely scalloped apron with a central floral rosette and foliate flourishes, raised over stout cabriole legs. Overall the cabinet is high quality and finely crafted with great attention to detail.

Condition
Includes a key for the upper cabinet, but none for the lower cabinet as it has had its hardware replaced. The left peg of the upper chest is lost but a peg on the right side is in tact. Chipping and loss to the upper right front corner of the crown. Wear commensurate with age but overall the armoire presents magnificently.
