This framed lithograph depicting a CSA bond was issued in Richmond, Virginia. The $100 bond, serial number 1455 authorized by the Act of August 19, 1861 was issued on April 16, 1862. It was lithographed by B. Duncan and signed by Robert Tyler.
On the reverse there is a certificate of authenticity from the American Historical Guild stating "The Below Described Item Is Unconditionally Guaranteed To Be Authentic. Any and All Signatures Are Also Guaranteed To Be Genuine. / CONFEDERATE BOND, $100.00 DENOMINATION, VIGNETTE OF R.M.T. HUNTER". The certificate is signed and dated December 13, 1996.
The lithograph is presented on a gilt trimmed, raised green mat and set in a gilt wood frame and glazed.

Condition: The print has three creases where it had been folded prior to laying flat for printing. The print has three vertical creases equally spaced across the print. There is also age related wear to the paper and some small areas of dirt residue and foxing to edges. Would benefit from being cleaned and re framed but without cleaning it still presents well will just preserve the work.
