An antique Japanese Kutani porcelain figural okimono depicting a seated man, likely a samurai or Kabuki actor. The traditional colors and designed motifs of Kutani, include red, green, blue and yellows. The figure is probably late 19th-early 20th century, Meiji Era. Marked underfoot.
Condition
Legs to the bench have been lost, with old repairs and restorations to the hands, underneath, on the back left side to the robe. Old cracks underfoot on back side with chipping and losses to the areas around the lower robe near the ground. Wear commensurate with age and handling. Could be properly repaired and restored or easily enjoyed as is; it is stable overall.
