Item Description
An antique hand painted silk tapestry, depicting imagery meant to be displayed horizontally.
The highly decorative with a blue border encompassing the long rectangular painted panel. The intricately, polychrome painted central panel appears to show a feast, with lavish bowls filled with fruit of varied size and shape, including pears. Conch shells and decorative cash coin with banners bearing polychrome beaded strands of varied size hung above. Footed bowls with flowers below a flaming sword with ribbons attached. Decorative boots with clouds motif can be seen as well as overlapping diamond forms.
To the far right hand side there are three figures which can be seen.
These figures include a pair of figures, male and female, depicted seated on throne chairs with red and green circular mandalas behind their heads. A wheel with 8 spokes with ribbon draped over can be seen in between the two figures. The third figure can be seen to the extreme right, with his throne chair merging into the blue silk border. This figure appears to kneel, with one knee down. He is portrayed holding a circular shield and a sword in his right hand. The figure is wearing a helmet with mustache and has a horse to his side.

Condition: There is wear with some losses to the painted finish. There are some stain spots to the blue trim as well. See lot images for further inspection. A tear to one end of the trim. Wear is commensurate with age and handling. The item is rolled.
