A darling pair of antique German white baby's bonnets and a brown miser's purse, with the caption:
1. Sow's Ear purse, knitted by Charlotta Lisette Boye Arzberger (1833-1895). Contains a lock of her hair. (She was "Little Granny's" mother.)
2. Two nightcaps, or housecaps. They were made and worn by Maria Anna Franziska Rosina Martin Boye (1799-?). (She was the mother of Charlotta Lisette Boye Arzberger). She and her husband, Karl Josef Boye (1800-1851) are the subjects of your pair of pastel portraits.
The pieces are mounted to a light green-teal background, displayed behind glass with a light blue-teal mat with a gilt frame displaying dainty scrolled relief.
Condition
Displays well with light general wear.
