A gorgeous antique cabinet with great Louis XV appeal, well crafted in honeyed brown wood with a rectangular top sporting banded short ends and ogee edges acting as a hinged lid to storage space within. Below, double cabinet doors are nicely detailed with oxbow arched paneling and highly decorative scrollwork faux key escutcheons, opening to a spacious interior. Finished with a serpentine apron and raised on stout cabriole legs with scrolled feet.
Condition
With wear commensurate with age and use; as-is for repair but still a lovely piece overall. Some warping/bowing to the top, scattered finish wear, scuffs, surface scratches. Some interior boards under the lift top are broken, with interior shelf boards that have breaks and losses.
