Item Description
During the 16th and 17th centuries, joint stools were made in bulk quantities and were a preferred as a sitting option during the time. Without arms and the bulkiness of other options, joint stools were extremely versatile pieces of furniture and served numerous purposes.
Like other joint stools of the 17th century, the current example features a nicely decorated seat with four turned legs and stretcher bars just above the feet.
With a fabulous dark stain.

Condition: There is wear to the dark stain on the seat top, with other wear to the frame being age related with usage over the centuries however overall the stool is in good condition overall and presents nicely.
