Item Description
Antique Chinese, Qing Dynasty, famille rose enameled porcelain plaque framed in lacquer finished wood frame which slots neatly into the lacquered wood table stand.
The plaque is painted exceptionally well and depicts a majestic mountainous landscape with pagodas dotting the landscape, pine trees perched throughout and an architectural bridge with two faintly painted figures walking across. A river runs through the center, underneath the bridge which the figures are depicted crossing.
The sky is decorated with swirling clouds.
The lacquered wood frame with painted images of bats and peaches which together make up symbolism representing good luck, longevity and fertility.
Probably late 18th to the first quarter of the 19th century.

Total on stand: 30"H x 31 1/4"W
Condition: The frame and stand experience heavy wear with losses with old glue to the stand. The frame with cracks, chipping to the finish and substrate material and the stand. Wear can be seen in the lot images.
The porcelain plaque with only minor surface scuff marks and abrasions to the enameled finish. Overall the porcelain plaque in good form and presents very well overall.
