Item Description
An antique late 19th century Chinese, Qing Dynasty, bronze mounted cloisonne jardiniere.
The cloisonne jardiniere rests on a bronze base with decorative openwork and stands on 4 mythical beast formed legs.
The jardiniere which has a turquoise ground and polychrome floral decoration all around is further embellished with a collar of Ruyi fungi around the mouth rim, underneath the openwork bronze collar. The jardiniere is further embellished with two fabulous dragon form handles.

Condition: There appears to have been gilt finish to the bronze which is heavily worn with spots of gilt remaining and a time worn patina. The bronze mounts have some slight dings and dents in addition to rust spots commensurate with age and handling. There are also dings with loss of enamel and slightly bent cloissons in a couple small areas near the handle. Another loss to the enameled finish underfoot but overall the bronze mounted jardiniere presents impressively.
