An exceptional, antique Chinese famille noire decorated porcelain attendant figure in traditional attire.
With his hair pulled back and eyebrows painted in cloud form with a minor chip to tip of tongue.
The figure is presented wearing boots standing on a base painted to imitate the land coated in three color sancai glaze.
Mounted on a substantial, antique French ormulu gilt bronze Rococo style stand with wonderfully cast scrolls and feathered motifs. Wear to all is commensurate with age, handling and display and despite its wear the figure presents wonderfully.
Qing Dynasty, likely Kangxi reign (1654 - 1722 A.D.), 17th - 18th century.
Condition: As Is condition with damage and wear including old restoration to the cracked porcelain base which is now stable. There are chips and old restoration to the hands and wear to the enameled and glazed finish along with wear to the porcelain and enameled decoration to the figured head and ears. Some wear to the gilding of the of the fabulous gilt bronze base. Additionally see lot images as they are additional and inclusive within the condition report.
