An Early Nazea Bridge Spout Vessel - 200 - 400 AD, South Coast Peru.
The twin spouted vessel with a bridge or handle, spanning between the two cylindrical form spouts which both affix to the globular form vessel.
The vessel with a reddish hued ground with painted animal depictions of a bird to both sides of the vessel painted in polychrome colors with an arched neck and long beak.
*WE NO LONGER HAVE THE ORIGINAL PAPERWORK FROM DAVID BERNSTEIN FINE ART. HOWEVER, THE LISTING WHICH CAN BE FOUND IN THE LOT IMAGES AND CAN BE PRINTED OUT FROM THE LOT IMAGES IF SO DESIRED.
Condition: There is wear to the painted finish with a section on one end where it is possible there is an antique restoration but does not flouresce under black light and could be wear commensurate with great age and handling. There are some losses to the painted finish overall but despite the wear the vessel presents handsomely.
