Antique Chippendale style English Mahogany pie crust, tilt top tea table.
Fabulously crafted in high quality Mahogany. The antique pie crust, tilt top tea table stands on three carved ball and claw form feet with serpentine form legs with exquisite foliate decoration carved in relief.
The three legs connect into the central baluster form pedestal, which itself is embellished with intricately carved swirl fluting.
Atop the pedestal rests the hinge where the exquisitely carved and finished pie crust trimmed tray top. The table top exhibits fabulously figured Mahogany.
Old brass hardware secures the table top either tilted back or tilted flat for use as a tea table.

28 3/4"h - to table when it is down and in table form.
Condition: There is evidence of past repairs and alterations. A metallic leg bracket support can be seen underneath and could possibly have been a repair to re affix or strengthen an issue with one of the legs.
The pie crust tilt top has a scratch and other gentle wear to the table top, some wear to the joinery where the legs secure to the central pedestal but overall presents very nicely with condition issues relating to the tables significant age and use. Overall a fabulously crafted and finished Chippendale style 19th C. Mahogany table.
