Item Description
American artist Anne Packard was born in 1933 in Hyde Park, New York and spent summers in Provincetown, MA during her childhood. Packard has a lineage with artists that included her grandmother and grandfather, Max Bohm, a 19th - 20th century Impressionist. Packard attended Bard College in New York and then moved to Provincetown, MA by 1977.
Anne Packard opened her Provincetown art gallery, named Packard Gallery, in 1988.
The current painting is a lovely Impressionistic painting depicting a coastal scene of a beach with body of water where sailboats can be seen in the distance with a wonderfully painted sky with fluffy white clouds above.
Signed lower left.
Presented in a gilt finished frame.
Provenance: Purchased from the artist at the Packard Gallery in Provincetown, MA.
Condition: Good overall, very gentle wear to painting with slight losses to the gilt finished frame but overall presents wonderfully. See lot images for further visual inspection as they are considered part of the overall condition report.
