Item Description
An ornately carved 19th century American Empire gentleman's chair, circa 1840-1850. With a stylized and extravagantly carved walnut frame, the tufted back and seat are upholstered in the original leather with nailhead trim and flanked with two heavily carved circular arms with geometric accents. Raised on four outswept legs with dome carved feet concealing the original casters.
In original condition. Some wear to stained finish and leather but still a fantastic, statement-making chair!
