American M1904 leather cavalry saddlebag converted to a handbag/backpack, early 20th century likely WWI. Displays in warm-toned medium brown with three straps piercing a flap closure over a tapered rounded rectangular body. Embossed "US" within an oval medallion under the center strap. Features a pierced top handle and two backpack straps. Accompanied by a leather belt with bands of decorative stitching. Affixed with D-loops and a hook. The stamp on the interior of the belt is worn and mostly illegible, apart from "Paris."
Condition: Pieces display well with expected wear. Leather finish wear, flaking, wrinkling and edgewear as seen in pictures.
