Item Description
An original Alexander Calder artist proof, limited edition, pencil signed and editioned lithograph in colors, titled "Sun with Planets", circa 1970. Calder was a pioneer of 20th C. modern art, whom worked in a variety of media ranging from large scale sculptural mobiles, stabiles, to his works on paper and more. Calder is best known for his interest in geometric forms and how they work in harmonious orientations. His monumental works of sculpture, often are reflected in his original works on paper in addition to his prints and multiples.
The current print is pencil signed lower right and pencil editioned ‘a/p’ lower left, depicting abstract geometric motifs in bold colors.
Presented custom framed and glazed.
