Originally copper engravings, Plate signed in the lower left and right. Displayed in matching black frames that are wired, and beneath glass and with charcoal gray mats.
They were published in 'The Encyclopà die ou Dictionnaire raisonnà des sciences, des arts et des mà tiers, par une Socià tà de Gens de lettres.' which was published under the direction of Diderot and d'Alembert, with 17 volumes of text and 11 volumes of plates between 1751 and 1772.
Condition: With minimal signs of age and wear including light spot might have been printed from the original along the right region of one. Light marks to frames.
