Pencil signed lower left, signed and a dated 1899 in plate lower right, Also pencil signed Alphonse Lamotte lower right. He was a French engraver. The print is dated 1901 and is after an engraving of a work of art by Detaille who painted military subjects including portraits of Napoleon.
Here Napoleon is shown in a military campaign in the mountains- perhaps the Italian campaign when crossing the Alps. A small image of a soldier on horseback is in the lower margin and signed by Detaille in plate. Presented in a wood frame with glass.
