After Charles Allan Gilbert (American, 1873-1929) "All Is Vanity" lithograph circa early 1900's depicting a seated woman in a black dress facing towards a mirror. The mirror reflects her visage, with a piercing expression directed towards the viewer. The details of the scene create the appearance of a skull when viewed from a far, contrasting the surrounding black curtain. Text at the bottom includes the title, and below the artist's signature reads "Published by Reinthal and Newman NY, Copr. Life Pub, Co." Displayed behind glass in a gilt and brown frame.
Condition: Displays well with paper toning and scattered finish wear to frame.
