After Anton Van Dyck (Flemish, 1599-1641) ink and wash depicting the Virgin and Child appearing to Saints.
Presented glazed and matted within an antique carved and parcel gilt finished frame with a gallery light.

Not examined out of the frame. There are tears to the paper backing. Additionally, there is a small tear below the Virgin's left foot and the right hand of the figure with helmet approximately 1/4" long, additionally there is a crease that runs horizontally through the center of the art approximately 3 3/4" L, which may have torn and been repaired. There are stains in places like the baby Jesus' right hand and the cherubs head depicted adjacent to the baby Jesus. There is a small tear to the bottom center and other wear commensurate with age and handling. Additional wear to the gilt finish on the frame with chips and losses to the wood frame itself.
