A marvelous assorted 21 piece collection of Japanese satsuma hand painted porcelain serving ware, featuring lovely centralized motifs depicting Japanese men and women, in a fantastic mix of vibrant hues that include orange, brown, green, and contrasting blues, with scattered raised satsuma accents throughout. This lovely collection is composed of 6 scrolled handle teacups, 6 saucers, 6 bread plates, 1 covered teapot, 1 covered creamer, and 1 covered sugar. The covered dishes in the collection all feature scrolled handles and removable lids which feature gilt finials and spouts which feature dragon motif, further accentuating this lovely display. Marked on bottom, made in Japan.
Condition: Overall in good condition with expected signs of use, including some glazing imperfections and scattered ware to the porcelain and painted finises throughout. One teacup shows a very faint chip along the rim, which is hardly noticeable and does not detract from the overall display.
