A lovely vintage trio of hand painted porcelain Asian vessels consisting of two Chinese ginger jars without lids and one Japanese biscuit jar, also without a lid. The larger of the two Chinese ginger jars features a Satsuma style finish and displays a Chinese genre scene vignette on one side as well as a centralized peacock motif scene on the other side, which are surrounded by lovely floral and foliate motifs, and accented with raised scattered speckles and gilt accents. The smaller ginger jar depicts Chinese battle scene motifs with warriors on horseback. The Japanese biscuit jar depicts lovely Japanese genre scenes and is accented by various intricately detailed motifs including butterflies, flowers, and foliage. All three of the jars display a lovely range of vibrant colors, including shades of cobalt, brick, salmon, rose, mandarin, contrasting greens, and lemon among others. Makers mark on bottom, made in China and Japan.
