An elegant bow front chest in mahogany with a fine double banded top. The upper case with a drop front secretary (looking like two long drawers) opening to fine banded satinwood drawers with knob pulls and two cubby holes. The large writing surface with green tooled leather opens to reveal storage compartments below. The middle case with a single long drawer over a deep long drawer (looking like two drawers). All drawers with fine string inlays and brass bales. With a shaped skirt rail and splayed feet.
Condition: the top banding with cracks and some losses, some scrapes to the drawer moldings and on the feet, stains on the left side, some expected scratches to the top. The inner lower left drawer lacking pulls. The tooled leather worn to a good patina. All wear commensurate with the age and use but in overall very good condition.
