A 19th century hand-painted Tibetan thangka depicting Lama Je Tsongkhapa (1357–1419). an important master of Tibetan Buddhism and founder of the Gelug school. With a central image of Tsongkhapa encased with various vignettes depicting scenes from "the Five Visions of Lama Tsongkhapa and Dorje Shugden." Mounted on a woven scroll depicting dragons and scrolled floral motifs.
Overall good condition with some minor areas of paint loss, back lining with some toning and soiling.
