A beautiful early 20th century storage or tabletop hope chest in warm-toned medium-light brown, sporting fun inlaid designs of hearts, squares, and rhombi. The lid is adorned with a raised plaque and handle, and opens to a burgundy-maroon painted interior. The interior of the lid is decorated with an eagle and star motif, while the interior bottom is bisected for two compartments with generous storage space.
Condition
Displays well with expected wear commensurate with age and use, including surface scratches, scuffs, nicks, and finish wear. One of the trims to the lid is a bit loose, held in place at the center with a metal tack. Some spots of checking and warping to the lid rim. Does not include a key.
