Item Description
19th century two part camphor wood campaign chest with secretary desk featuring brass bails mounted on either side of each case. The upper case folds out to reveal a secretary desk with three drawers and multiple compartments. Leather writing pad is missing. It also has has three smaller drawers above the fold out desk and a lower drawer below. The bottom half has two larger drawers. All with inset brass pulls. Top is adorned with a carved edge which might have been added later. All supported on bun feet.
42 1/2" x 20" x 55" (h)
Condition: good, some marks and stains to writing area and interior of drawers consistent with use and age. The top carving is probably added later.
