Item Description
A leatherbound photo album of pre-revolution Russia with images of architecture in St. Petersburg and other landmarks. With old titles of landmarks including the Nicholas Bridge renamed in 1855 (The Annunciation Bridge) until the revolution. Along with colored images of genre figures at the back. Both front and back with attached black lacquered covers. The back with Russian cyrillic inscription and a gilt imperial coat of arms. The front with a painting of two male figures seated at a table having tea made from a samovar. They are dressed in colorful red garments. The table and floor are in gilt paint, the samovar in copper tone paint. With a gold tone metal clasp closure.

Condition: bindings broken, lacking the front spine, worn edges overall, covers loose, some acid burn to edges of photo mounts, worn closure, scratches to the covers, overall the photos are in good condition
