The 1904 edition of The Encyclopedia Americana, edited by Frederick Converse Beach, is a significant historical reference set consisting of sixteen illustrated volumes published by The Americana Company in New York. Beach, who was also the editor of Scientific American, supervised this edition to emphasize physical and life sciences.
Published as a 16-volume set containing comprehensive information on history, literature, biography, and geography, often presented from an American perspective. The set is known for being extensively illustrated with photographs, maps, and some color plates.
The books with pebbled leather spine and corners, blue cloth boards, marbleized end-wraps, gold print, marbleized margins.

Condition: some of the volumes are heavily sunned as can be seen in the photos, dulling to corners, some losses and wear to the top/bottom spine, two separated from spine.
