Item Description
A lovely 18th Century George II mahogany highboy, showcasing a rich mahogany exterior and showcasing banded inlay accents throughout, presenting a top chest featuring a rectangular top which is mounted above a bay of five sliding drawers, consisting of two short over three long, all of which are accented with brass bail handles and escutcheons. The chest rests above a lowboy featuring three sliding drawers, one long over two short, and are mounted above an intricately carved and scrolled skirt. Raised on scrolled legs and ending in pad feet to provide for an elegant display.
Condition: With expected signs of use given its age, including evidence of surface scratches, scuffs, residue marks, imperfections, checking, and minor losses seen to the wooden exterior throughout.
