An 18th/19th Dutch burl walnut bombay miniature bureau, not a salesman sample. The stunning bureau with a contoured hinged door that rests on two conforming pull out supports. The door with an inlaid cartouche and an ornate escutcheon plate. The door opens to reveal a central door with an interior smaller drawer and shelf. It is flanked by 2 drawers each side along with 2 sliding book form secret doors. The bureau with two long drawer, scalloped and carved apron and rests on two back bracket feet and two front paw feet. The bureau is mounted with ornate drop handles and conforming escutcheon plates.
Dimensions: 19" across bottom, 10 3/4" D at feet and 15 1/8" H
Condition: checking (splits), two bottom drawers missing trim on right side, minor veneer losses, wear consistent with age and use. No keys.
