18k rose and yellow gold and platinum brooch. This exquisite vintage pin is a charming cuckoo clock motif, and features a roof, door hinges and handle accented with round faceted diamonds set in platinum. The door opens (by pulling on the longest clock chain!) to reveal a watch face, with a rose color dial, black stick and roman numeral markers and set with an accent diamond at 12:00 (please note: the clock face is intentionally inverted, so it can be read while being worn) and the watch is a hand would mechanical movement, with the winder at the bottom base of the clock house. Set below the house, are draping yellow gold snake chains (which mimic the chains on a clock) which are capped with rose gold "weights", banded in platinum and also accented with diamonds. The entire diamond weight for the piece is 0.10 TCW.
This amazing piece is serialized, and engraved Marley, 19 Rue de la Paix, which was the address for Janesich from the late 1890's until World War II, so it is unknown whether this was made in the Janesich shop or post their departure.
