Antique oil on canvas depicting a dog dining in high style, the terrier dog (profile) wearing a cloth napkin, after eating from silver dish on table, with tongue licking chops. The portrait is humorous as the sitter is depicted in the scale of a human child portrait and with similar characteristic details in the rendering.
Unsigned, circa 1885-1915.
Presented in an ornate gold leaf frame with relief egg and dart, trailing vines and florals with geometric motif.
Old framers label on verso.
