Black Rock Interiors (at BRG)
Black Rock Interiors is the in-house luxury consignment showroom at Black Rock Galleries’ Bridgeport, CT headquarters. This showroom features collections curated from the finest estates in New England, New York and beyond all housed in a refurbished and expansive industrial loft warehouse. Black Rock Interiors offers an ever-changing selection of fine furniture, antiques, lighting, art, decorative accessories and garden decor. At the same time, the breadth of the collections expresses BRG’s lifetime affinity for fine mid-century modern design aesthetics from Harvey Probber, Paul McCaab, and Charles and Ray Eames designer pieces to fine modern abstracts and extraordinary works of art from the likes of Leonard Nierman and Kikuo Saito.
Some past offerings have been placed in grand homes as featured in Fairfield Magazine, Serendipity, CTC&G (Connecticut Cottages and Gardens), and the Wall Street Journal Magazine. Our products have also appeared in two Lara Spencer books “I Brake for Yard Sales” and “Flea Market Fabulous” and her corresponding TV series. In recent years Black Rock Interiors at BRG’s unique and unusual collections attract set designers and decorators from all over the region, resulting in very close working relationships with TV and movie production houses. This inventory has helped to create specific interiors ranging from mid-century modern spaces to super-villain hideaways. Anyone who has ever viewed Gotham, any of the five seasons of HBO’s “Boardwalk Empire” series, Girl on a Train, Marvelous Ms. Maisel, HBO’s Vinyl, or Wolf of Wall Street has seen some of what Black Rock Interiors at BRG offers.
Clearing House Estate Sales
Clearing House Estate Sales services lower- to mid-tier valued estates (typically those estates valued less than $25,000). Clearing House Estate Sales (CHES) handles downsizing and estates with the same care, sensitivity and professionalism that clients find under the BRG brand, albeit at a much higher volume of sales each month. CHES makes it is their responsibility to simplify the estate sale process and maximize financial returns for their clients. Unlike BRG, Clearing House Estate Sales operates solely in an online auction format and does not offer a consignment center nor formal appraisals. Their expanded audience and online bidding enthusiasm generates increased sale proceeds (30-35%) over traditional estate sale formats.
AuctionNinja
AuctionNinja.com is the by-product of BRG’s online auction platform development and is offered, as a subscription, to those in the estate sale industry who are looking to bring their business online and into the 21st century. It allows other auction houses and estate sale companies the ability to offer their products in an easy-to-use online auction format that was designed by estate professionals who understand the needs of the industry.
