Reginald Marsh (American, 1898 - 1954) “Gaiety Burlesk” etching on laid paper circa 1930. The current work is an extremely well depicted etching print of a burlesque show during the Great Depression. The dancer can be seen on the left hand side of the work, with an overly crowded audience appearing to pack inside the theater. The audience is almost entirely made up of men, whom all appear to gaze intently. The print is signed and dated 1930, in print lower left. Additionally the print is pencil signed and numbered "# 11" to the lower margin lower, out of plate.
