Reginald Marsh (1898-1954) "Coney Island Beach" etching on paper, circa 1934. The etching print is signed and dated 1934 lower right in plate.
Additionally, the print is pencil signed and marked (F.M) by the artist's wife, Felicia Marsh, out of plate to lower right trim margin.

Presented matted with a handsomely carved and ebonized wood frame with textural trim edge.

About the Artist:
Reginald Marsh was a well known American artist, notable for his depictions of imagery and scenes, including burlesque shows, Coney Island and the Bowery in New York City. The current work is an extremely well depicted etching print depicting a mass of people at Coney Island Beach of New York. Many in their bathing suits, with several in the front right foreground appearing to climb on the shoulders of others for a game. The scene is booming with life and movement and is fantastically depicted.

Condition

The art is in good form, slight scuffs to the mat and losses to the finish on frame in the lower right corner and upper left corner with the underlying gesso in pink seen.
