A delightful 18th century blanket chest painted in beige-brown with gorgeous red and blue floral sprays within dark rectangular wreath borders and stately Corinthian columns. The hinged lid is detailed with oversized brass nailheads, and the sides are adorned with swing handles on leafy diamond-shaped plaques, the whole elevated on chunky ebonized circular feet. The spacious interior includes a small lidded compartment to the left.
