About the Artist:
Móric/ Móricz ‘Maurice’ Góth was a Hungarian artist known for impressionist paintings of portraits and plein air landscapes. He studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Munich and traveled throughout Europe. Góth was a member of the Nagybánya artists' colony and exhibited his works both nationally and internationally.

Condition
Presents well overall with some wear commensurate with age and display. The canvas needs to be pulled tight on its stretcher support. There are slack areas and bubbles. There is an area in the center where a 1 1/2" possible repair to the canvas with impasto over. Additional wear and loss of paint around the trim edges commensurate with age and use.
