Lorene Taurerewa (New Zealander-American, b. 1961) massive charcoal drawing on paper depicting a male figure sitting or standing with a strong vertical composition and a keen eye for tone and contrast.
Displayed glazed in a black frame.
Due to the size of this piece it will not be available for viewing of pick up at our Greenwich location. The pick up location will be at our 290 post road building in Fairfield CT.

About the Artist:
Lorene Taurerewa is a New Zealand-born artist known for portraits in watercolor, graphite, and charcoal. She studied at the Quay School of the Arts and the Auckland University of Technology. Taurerewa has worked as an artist in residence and as a teacher at the Victoria University School of Design. Her works are included in the collections of the Pataka Art and Museum, The Arts House Trust, the Queensland Gallery of Modern Art, the National Gallery of Victoria, and the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Korea, as well as in private collections worldwide.
