About the Artist:
Leon Schulman Gaspard was a Russian Empire-born artist. He studied in Paris, and lived in the United States before eventually settling in New Mexico, though he often traveled and found inspiration in the people and rural life across Russia, Asia, and New Mexico. He actively exhibited his work across Paris and the United States to steady success, including venues such as The Art Institute of Chicago and Carnegie Institute. Posthumously, his reputation continues to cultivate as retrospective exhibitions celebrate the creative excellence of the artist.
